About Us
Branson First Church of the Nazarene
Branson First Church of the Nazarene opened its doors in 1966. We have a long history in the Branson community, and we would love for you to become a part of what God is doing here.

Our Lead-Pastor, Dan, has been leading the congregation since January of 2022, and in November of 2023 his wife Lori came on staff as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Women's Ministries. They have 6 children together ages 14 and under.

There are great days ahead. God has called and He is faithful!

What We Believe
Worship
Most people think of "worship" in terms of music. And they are not wrong. But worship is not limited to a certain time or place. True worship is reflected in the lifestyle and choices we make as Christians.
Mark 12:30 says, "Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."
Worship is every moment of every day.

Connect
The best way to really know and understand what we believe at Branson First Church is to get involved in one of our ministry groups. Love cannot exist outside of action - which at Branson First Church is best shown through our ministry groups. We would love for you to join a ministry group and begin connecting with others with the same heart and mission.

Serve
Fulfilling the Great Commission will make a unique mark on our community and our world. By serving others, we show the love of Christ and receive the love of God in return. This unique mark of serving flows out of worship and connecting with others.
We Believe In
THE TRIUNE GOD
We believe in One God, the Creator of all things, who reveals himself as Father, Son and Spirit.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man at the same time, who became like us, died and wasresurrected to bring our salvation.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is active in the world bringing us to salvation.
THE HOLY SCRIPTURE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving us all we need to know about how to be saved.
SIN, ORIGINAL & PERSONAL
We believe that we are all sinners by both nature and act and need God’s forgiveness and cleansing.
ATONEMENT
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and we can be restored to a right relationship to God.
PREVENIENT GRACE
We believe that God has enabled us to turn to Him from our sin but that He has not forced us to do so.
REPENTANCE
We believe that each person must repent, turn from sin and trust Christ to accept him or her.
JUSTIFICATION
We believe that when we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record is sin is wiped clean and we are born again, thus becoming part of the family of God.
SANCTIFICATION
We believe that after being born again, we need the fullness of God’s Spirit in our hearts. When we make a complete commitment to Him, He cleanses our spirit, fills us with His perfect love, and gives us the power to live victoriously.
THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, carrying on His mission through the power of the Holy Spirit.
BAPTISM
We believe in baptism and urge people to be baptized as Christians.
COMMUNION
We believe in the Lord’s Supper. And what it represents.
DIVINE HEALING
We believe that God can heal. We pray for healing. We also believe that He can work through medical science.
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again.
JUDGEMENT, DESTINY
We believe that everyone will face the judgment of God with its rewards and punishments.

-
What is the church like?
-
We are a friendly, smaller Bible believing church that will welcome you as if you were a long time friend.

-
What about my kids?
-
We believe that children are valuable and precious. We also believe that families should be together for church. We have activity packets to help hold the attention of the little ones during our worhsip service together, but enjoy the noise and life that children bring to the worship service. If at anytime you need to step away, we also have a nursing mothers room, with toys for little ones and a feed to the live stream for any as needed.

We have a wonderful nursery and trained workers for any children under 4 if you desire.
-
On Wednesday nights we have Kids Korner, which is a time for kids to grow and learn about Jesus and the importance of God's Holy Word that takes place at 6:30pm.
-
-
Where do I park?
-
Parking for visitors is both on the upper parking lot and lower parking lots of our church.
-
-
What do I wear?
-
Come as you are. We believe that your presence during worship is more important than the clothes you wear.

Meet Our Team
Our Story
Pastor Dan and Lori met in 2004 while both were serving as youth mentors for the College Church of the Nazarene middle school youth group. They were married in One of 2006 and moved to the island of Kauai less than a year later to serve as co-youth pastors in 2007. Pastor Dan and Pastor Lori are both ordained elders in the Church of the Nazarene and were ordained in Hawaii. Lori was ordained in 2011 and Dan in 2012. In July of 2012, they accepted the call to become co-lead pastors of the same church when their pastor and mentor Rev. John Mills retired for the second time (he was a pastor and DS in the Weslyan church prior).
They have 6 children together who were all born on the island of Kauai, except their youngest. Daniel (14), Olivia (12), Joshua (10), Liliana (6), Nathanael (4) and Caleb (under 1). They enjoyed the beach and the beautiful weather of Kauai and have since learned to enjoy the snow and changing seasons of the Ozarks. They are wonderful kids with hearts for the Lord. They cannot wait to see how God uses them now and in the future.

Their desire is to serve the Lord and lead His people wherever He is calling us to go and to be. They look forward to serving the Lord at Branson First Church of the Nazarene for many years to come.
